Where can you find us?

In Palenga, about 25 km from Gulu in the northern part of  Uganda, we work together with the board and the teachers of the Pope Benedict the XVI nursery, primary and secondary school.

Pope Benedict XVI is a nursery, primary and secondary school, located along the road from Gulu to Kamdini.

School hours

Nursery education

  • Nursery 1 & 2 take classes from  8 am until 12 am
  • Nursery 3 takes classes from 8 am until 4 pm  

Primary education

  • They take classes from 8 am until 4 pm 

Secundary education

  • They take classes from 8 am until 5 pm 

Breakfast at 10 am 

Lunch at 2 pm

On the menu every day is pocho with beans or bread. Pocho is made of corn or casava that is pounded into flour. Then they make a kind of dough out of it. Meat is priceless and they never eat it.

The children who stay at the boarding school sometimes get a variation of the menu at the weekend.
